BLESSED WITH ANGELS

The girls in our family are all horse crazy starting with J. and her cousin K.. So every family get together has the big girls getting the horses out and riding and then giving rides to the little girls. I believe that Angles were with us this family get together. Something spooked the horses and J. who was getting on a horse named Midnight had the horse lunged forward and land on her cousins little head. J. watched the horse come down on the head and she has know idea how but she got off the horse as it started to fall down. She said it was so slow motion and little K. was; she thought under the horse. Then somehow she got little K. out of all those legs without getting kicked to death or a single broken bone to her body just a bruised scraped wrist. She can’t even remember getting little K. into her arms but she does remember that it felt like it took her forever to get to Jadies back door which is really not that far from the horse pens. She remembers big K. screaming and little K. crying and wanting to scream but nothing would come out. She even remembers Kt sitting on the ground and big K. yelling at her to let go of the rains. It turns out that Kt. got bucked off the horse BJ that she was sitting on, most likely when big K. started to scream it startled that horse and somehow big K. managed to realize that if Kt. didn’t let go she would soon be being dragged away. J. just wanted to get little K. to Alonzo and kept hoping that he hadn’t left yet. But he was gone and it didn’t take but seconds for us to be in the trucks and on the road to the hospital. Little K.'s ear was cut along the back so that it moved the whole ear off her skull and cut her forehead above the eye. There is no crushed scull and no other broken bones. No head injury that can be seen at all. The main artery to the ear is severed, amazing that she didn’t bleed to death but it does explain the volumes of blood that was everywhere. She did have to have plastic surgery at Primary Children’s Hospital and they are all amazed that this was the only damage done. Heavenly Father will send angels to help us and protect us if we but ask. We should do that more often and also thank him for those he sends when we do not ask. I for one am so thankful that the girls were as protected as they were it could have been so much worse.
