Adventurous
Tyrell and J. on the spur of the moment Sunday evening at 5:30 to be exact talked their Dad into taking them up the mountain and dropping them off with a tent and saddles and three horses to camp and ride out the next morning. Tyrell has been on a scout camp like that once but never by himself. J. has never done anything like that. It was almost dark by the time they loaded the horses and packed the tent up, got up there and were all unloaded. They had the time of their lives even if they hardly slept. April doesn’t like to be tied in one place so she pawed all night waking them up over and over again. April the semi green horse was the pack horse. She is usually the lead lady but after two hours they almost had to drag her. The tent wasn’t small and it was awkward to tie on so it was rubbing April the wrong way. She usually doesn’t mind water but was ornery about getting in any water this time. It was sixteen miles out and took them till late afternoon to get home. As they were crossing the freeway underpass connection people in cars were staring. One almost wrecked his car and trailer from staring. They are ready to drag Alonzo up this weekend and do it again except they want a smaller tent since Dad will have to ride April this time. I am just glad that they were able to make it out because I didn’t want to have to pull the gooseneck up the mountain for my first experience at driving it. I can just tell what this summer is going to be like. I think maybe I had better get some quick meal packs and some light weight cook pots so they can eat on their trips. Dang my stupid camera is on the blip so I couldn't even get a picture of it.
